Sierra got finger paints for christmas and couldn't wait to use them! She was so cute and funny with them. She loved it!

Christmas Day

We spent christmas morning together as a new little family. It was nice and relaxing, and so fun to see Sierra get really into it this year. She was so funny and LOVED all of her presents.

Christmas Eve

We celebrated Christmas eve at Eric's parent's house. We had lots of good food, watched a movie and just enjoyed each others company!

Brooklyn Rose

Our sweet little baby girl was born on December 18th at 6:04 pm. She was 6 lbs 9 oz and 18 3/4 in. long.

Here is a little rundown of how the day went:

Originally I was planning on going into labor on my own (since I was induced 3 days early with Sierra) but when I saw that my due date was Christmas eve, I quickly changed my mind! My OBGYN didn't even ask when he saw what day I was due, he just immediately said he'd induce me a week early. haha I guess he didn't want to be in the hospital on Christmas day either!

We went in at 7:30 am. I was dilated to a 2 and 75% effaced.

They started the pitocin at 8:45am.

At 2:15pm they gave me my epidural. I got really lightheaded. The color drained from my face and my heart rate dropped, so they stopped the epidural and quickly gave me ephedrine to bring my heart rate back up. It was kind of scary and took a while to feel normal again. Once my HR was back to normal, they gave me the rest of the epidural.

At 5:49pm I started to push and Brooklyn was born 15 minutes later!

She was perfect and I got to hold her right away which was so nice since I didnt with Sierra.

So happy to finally be holding my little Brooklyn.

A visit from Maria, Trevor and Little Reese!

A couple weekends ago, our good friends, the Gilbert's, from BYU-I were in Pennsylvania visiting Maria's family. We usually try to get together everytime they come and have only missed one year so far since parting ways!

We met up halfway at Chili's. It was so fun this time because Sierra and Reese are the same age and could actually communicate. They were so cute together. I didn't get any pictures of the adults but I did get a few blurry ones of the girls playing outside after lunch.

27th Birthday

I just realized I never posted about my actual birthday. It's only a month late. haha We didn't do much this year since I was about to pop and Eric's parents were out of town. OH and Eric left for Spain the day before. Just a small detail. Luckily I have awesome friends who took me out for dinner while he was gone, so it was a little less painful. ;)
a little celebration 2 nights before Eric left. i don't look very pleased. maybe i had severe heartburn. (also all the other pictures sierra had her eyes closed or they were blurry-don't worry we got a new camera for christmas!)

A Winner!

This morning I was going along, reading my blogs and at the end of a decorating blog that I follow called A Soft Place to Land, I saw my name! I actually won a giveaway! I was so shocked! Ocassionally I'll enter giveaways and NEVER win so I was pretty excited to see that I finally had.

I won two ornaments from Lisa Leonard Designs. She makes really pretty necklaces and bracelets and a few other things too. I think I'm going to get an ornament for Sierra and the new baby with their names and 1st christmas engraved on one of these little beauties:
